21st Australasian Conference on Information Systems
- Defining and Establishing a High Impact Discipline -
The Australasian
Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) is the premier conference in
Australasia for Information Systems academics and professionals, covering
technical, organisational, business and social issues in the application
of Information Technology. Its status has been recognized as an ERA-ranked
A-conference. In 2010, the ACIS Conference will be jointly organized by
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and The University of Queensland.
The event will take place at the QUT Gardens Point Campus. The campus
is located in the Central Business District of Brisbane, the fastest growing
city in Australia. With 1.7 million people, Brisbane offers all the facilities
and infrastructure of a global hub for technology and tourism.
Conference
Theme
ACIS 2010 will be dedicated to the definition and establishment of Information
Systems as a discipline of high impact for the scientific community and
IS professionals. The focus will be on approaches that facilitate the
identification of research questions of significant relevance that are
studied by following sound research methodologies and that lead to results
of measureable impact. Thus, the theme for ACIS 2010 will be: Information
Systems: Defining and Establishing a High Impact Discipline
Topics and
Submission Types
ACIS
2010 will be organised in conference tracks and this
Call invites Information Systems academics and professionals to submit
proposals to any of the following conference tracks.
Each track is chaired
by national and international thought leaders and includes one actively
involved industry organisation representative, highlighting the commitment
to the conference theme. For most of these tracks the opportunity to fast-track
selected best papers to high quality IS journals is available.
Within these tracks,
we invite 3 types of submissions:
- RESEARCH
PAPERS
- TEACHING
CASES; and
- INDUSTRY
SUBMISSIONS

Submissions
ACIS 2010 calls for original, unpublished research papers (i.e. completed
research and research-in-progress) in the areas defined in the conference
track descriptions. All submissions must be in English and be made via
the ACIS 2010 submission system at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acis2010
